Imagine a very busy sidewalk in a large city. People are walking in all directions. You are also walking, actually, you need to hurry because you are a bit behind schedule. What are your feelings towards others walking next to you? What feelings are you experiencing as you reach the corner and you need to wait for the traffic light to give you the “Walk” sign? How are you feeling about yourself? Do you think you are in your highest power as you are part of this scenario? The Andean Shamanic Tradition sees this scenario from a completely different point of view. The moment one steps outside, the first thing we do is greet the World. As we proceed to walk on the sidewalk we feel and project great gratitude for this marvel. The fact that the sidewalk is busy is really good! So many of our brothers and sisters doing things, going places, living their lives, this in itself is such an exciting process. Time is pressing, but this is okay too, because we trust the Universe and if we are a little delayed it’s because it needed to be. The whole Universe loves us and we love it back. Everything around you (whether someone knows it or not) is on your side, it is there for you; and why not? you are there for others as well. As we walk through lots of people and cars we smile and we emanate great respect and appreciation. This is a state of being, one that at a very essential level understands all the world around us just “being” and the magic of this happening in the present time. Our focus is on the perfection of the Cosmos we inhabit and the power that our hearts generate when we allow them to vibrate with love. We consider Love to be an infinite, very real and effective energy. We also understand it as a Divine attribute. We value it so much that it would never cross our minds to trade with it; in other words our love is not conditional, it is the purest and most valuable form of an offering. In our Shamanic Tradition actions that emanate from love, respect and appreciation will absolutely yield miraculous results automatically.
