Digital Shamanism: An Alliance of Ancient Wisdom and Modern Technology

A few weeks ago, I was reading a book by Dolores Cannon. She was a hypnotherapist that had developed a technique to take her clients into such a deep hypnosis that the identity of her subjects would be superseded and other sources of information would speak through them. One session caught my attention when it highlighted that as global technological communications expand, the dissemination of transcendental wisdom will also increase.

It’s amazing how this has actually happened in my practice in the nearly two decades I have been in operation. In 2007, once my office was established, the first thing I did to connect with clients was to place an ad on a local newspaper. Appointments were made via phone calls and my clients, all local, would come in person a few days later and pay cash. Nowadays, I have an app that schedules my clients and also takes care of all the payment transactions. Most of my clients are from all over the world and the sessions are mostly done via Zoom. Reservations depending on availability can be confirmed hours before the appointment and it’s all done automatically. The technology is wonderful, but even more promising is that the service I provide originates from a remote region of Peru 14,000 feet above sea level in the Andes.

Misinformation is an emerging concern for governing bodies. From my point of view and in the field I labor in, I think communication should be a matter of choice. As for information, its validity should be self evident. It’s very simple if the information helps and uplifts then that in itself validates it. In my opinion it will still take a little time and maybe a misstep here and there, but the future for humanities conscious evolution, from a shamanic perspective, looks golden bright!
